I blend my academic and professional backgrounds in editing and publishing with my spiritual, moral, and linguistic practices to create a holistic approach to editing and writing. I am Level 3 Reiki master, certified raw vegan chef, metaphysician, and polyglot (I am fluent in Italian, German, Spanish, and English).

About my editing approach.
The way I edit mirrors the way I write: I am an experiential, immersive, and perceptual memoir writer. My writing often explores the interconnections of history, biography, and society, while focusing on the fantastical and surreal elements and characters in everyday life to illustrate how history and the lived life collide and intertwine, with all the extraordinary within the harshness and gentleness of the ordinary. Like a method actor, my process involves immersing myself so emotionally into the subject matter that the writing is almost a byproduct of the work, be it the experience one of immigration, race, womanhood, or otherwise. As editor-in-chief of a literary magazine, I have extensive experience in reading, reviewing, and assessing work from a wide variety of genres and forms. I am adept at reviewing large quantities of work, with an eye on quality, originality, and depth of voice.

As a social justice professional, I read and review prose work with an eye toward inclusivity. I read for specific cultural identities, as well as a general sensitivity reading for identity and political issues.
